Stray Packets looking for a place to network.

Hitchikers on the information highway.

Searching for a cup of Java and a tasty byte to eat.

Junked Car in Torbrook

COSMIC HIGHWAY
Stepping out onto the Cosmic Highway
on this, the first of days.
Thumb out
shirt tucked in.
A roll of the dice
with each approaching car.
Bingo! One pulls over to the shoulder.

Riding Shotgun
window down
wind in my hair.
Shades serving
to tone down
the passing scenery
as I go place to place
taking a look around;
trying to catch a glimpse
of the home I've never known.

Me, Myself & I

MAKING SENSE
Making sense
out of the insanity
and exploring the depths
of a shadowy mind.
Using light to expose areas
the chemicals could never reach.

Finding innumerable laughs
that once hid behind the melancholy;
and myself of course
reeking of an almost complete sanity
and cigarette smoke.

Twisting out of
the plush carpeted cocoon
I was rolled up in
and dusting myself off.

Ready for a walk
down the street amongst strangers
no more strange than myself.

1993

Stepping from gear to gear
inside the workings of a clock
that makes it's own time.
No bottom, top
left or right.

Each turn takes on
a direction of its own.

Solve the puzzle and find the treasure.
A pile of quarters
and a pay phone.
Not knowing certainty is a fool.

Carried away by the tide of memory.
All days squeezed into the span of one.
My foggy waking nightmare in the valley of limbo.
The end is the beginning of a game
of 52 pickup.
